Star Trek warped along for 79 episodes. In 1966, the Starship Enterprise launched on NBC and the television landscape was forever changed. TV shows like Lost In Space or The Twilight Zone depicted serious space exploration, but Trek was far more. It showed more, speculated on more and always explored more.
To quote a celbrated Vulcan science officer: It is most logical.
Star Trek ran for three seasons. What if it hadn’t been cancelled? Where would Gene Roddenberry’s sci-fi vehicle have warped to beyond television? We’ve gotten new films. We’ve seen fan films. There’s always more Trek coming out in one form or another.
